Google Classroom and email

Like many of you, I have been spending time digging into Google Classroom and thinking about how we may want to use this new tool in Smithfield (alongside Hapara). I came across a Help article that is extremely important if you are using a "walled garden" approach to student email within GAFE. You will need to allow email from classroom.google.com to ensure that students receive notifications from Classroom.

It's very simple to do and took me about 30 seconds, but it is definitely something that I could have easily overlooked. The link to the Help Article is https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/6024971?hl=en&ref_topic=6024979

I was wondering if anyone is using Hapara with their Google Apps.  There was a presentation done at one of the meetings last year and I was impressed with its capabilities.  The new Classroom feature rolled out by Google seems to create a combined interface for the teachers but not all of the bells & whistles that were available with Hapara.  I would be interested to hear from anyone who ended up implementing it. I see that Paul Barrette posted that he was looking into using classroom with Hapara. I am curious what you decided.
