Microsoft Licensing

A joint Cooperative Procurement by the members of the Rhode Island Society of Technology Educators and the Northern Rhode Island Collaborative.

RISTE is seeking proposals fromVendor/Reseller providers (“Proposer”) for a price agreement and fulfillment services.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to establish a contractual relationship with
a Microsoft-authorized reseller, to serve the purpose of procuring, supporting, and distributing
Microsoft academic volume licensing, products, and services to participants of the RISTE
environment in accordance with the RISTE/Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions
Agreement (Agreement) and the purchase of Microsoft Select Products.

Any member school/district wishing to take advantage of this consortium pricing agreement should contact an SHI representative or the RISTE executive director.

The following documents were posted publicly on October 3, 2014 and emailed to the resellers listed below who were listed on the Microsoft website as qualified to administer educational licensing.

(Resellers: SHI International, CDWG , PCMall, Dell, GovConnection, Bell Techlogix, Zones, Inc., Hewlett-Packard, Softmart, and, Software One )

The deadline for submission of sealed proposals was October 17 at 4pm at the NRIC offices.

Three proposals were received by NRIC staff by the deadline.

Three members of the RISTE evaluation team opened and recorded the proposals at 9am on Oct. 20.

Proposals were received from CDWG, SHI, and Bell Techlogix.

Proposals were scored on EES Cost(60%), Select Cost(10%), References(20%), and fulfillment of bid requirements(10%).

The review team recommended an award to SHI.

October 28, 2014 the RISTE Board of Directors voted to accept the RFP proposal offered by SHI.

The RISTE Board of Directors has voted twice to extend the contract with SHI for one additional year.
