Join us for a day of learning about Digital Literacy and how you can use it to transform Education in Your Classroom!
Susan Sabella, Jen Thomas, Steve Sposato, and Paula MacMillin will help you work hands on with the digital tools of your choice to create projects that will target learning standards.
When: July 16, 2015
Time: 9am - 3pm
Where: New England Tech - East Greenwich Campus
Who: Teachers from Grades 3 - 12
So you’ve got the technology in your school….now what? We’ll take a look at what the research says about using technology in your classroom and how technology outcomes are included in the Common Core Standards.
Each participant will choose a Common Core ELA or Math standard that they would like to focus on or a team could work together.
Using tech tools that are available in your school and classroom, participants will co-design meaningful and practical lessons to meet those CC standards in their classrooms.
Connections will be made to the ISTE Technology Standards for Students and the focus will be on Collaboration, Creation, and Communication.
Requirements:
Bring your own device (what ever technology you use in your classroom: laptop, chromebook, iPad, etc.)
Choose a common core standard that you would like to address
