iPad Basics

An iPad changes the way teachers and students access the web, share media, and learn on the go.

This introductory workshop takes participants from opening the box & setting up their new iPad to having teachers ready to use it when they walk into the classroom the next day. It includes discussion of the following topics: iTunes basics, general settings and features, identifying the most efficient ways to search for apps and find FREE apps, managing and organizing your apps. A variety of apps will also be explored and demonstrated for use in the classroom.

A major focus will be on applications that can be used in the classroom to engage and ignite student learning and creativity.

We will have iPads on hand for each participant to use during the workshop or you can bring your own.

For an additional fee you can opt to learn how to use an iPad2 and bring it home at the conclusion of the workshop. (additional registration cost applies)

If you are bringing an iPad, please have the latest iPad operating system installed before attending.
